ST. MATTHEW'S MISSION TO SEAMEN.
The annual meeting of St. Matthew's Mission to' Seamen was held last evening in the schoolroom, Archdeacon Calder presiding. The chairman opened the meeting and delivered an interesting account of the work accomplished during the past twelve months. The Rev. C. E. Budd, chaplain to public institutions, urged alt those engaged in the work and those! interested to do all in their power to help on the mission in the ensuing? year. The honorary secretary, Mr Peak, read the report. .The balancesheet showed a small balance to thei credit of the mission, but the worlc had been hindered owing to insufficient funds, and the report, stated . that to make the efforts of the mission successful, more help would be needed in that direction. Rev. W T. E. Gil lam hoped. that friends would take more interest in. the work, and facilitate its operations by an increase in funds' and personal assistance.
