NORTH OTAGO JOCKEY CLUB WINTER MEETING.

OAMARU, Thursday

The. races were continued yesterday in splendid weather. The. attendance was good. The amount put, through Ihe totalisator for the two days was £2720, as compared with £3729 for last winter meeting. The results are:

Stewards' Welter Handicap, six furlongs—Vandyke. 1; Long Tom, 2: Magnificent, 3. Belligerent and Wild West also ran. Wou easily by a length. Time, 1.16 1-5. Dividends, £5 12/ and £2 16/.

Telegraph Handicap, six furlongs— Lady Medallist, 1; Silver Rupee, 2; Grand Shot, ::. Fighting Mac. Nor'wester, Taranto, Sympathy. Remember Me, Patron and Rubingo also started. Won easily by a length and a half. Time, 1.17 3-5. Divdends, £3 8/ and £ 1 14/.

Henderson Memorial Handicap, one mile —Hermosa, 1; Lady of the Lake, 2; Tsaritza, 3. Also ran: Cameo, Nihilist and Sirathnairn. Won easily by a length. Time, 1.44 J. Dividends, £3 12/ and £1 16/.

Tradesmen's Handicap, six furlongs

—Lady Medallist, 1; Long Tom. 2; Vandyke, .'!. Dividends, £4 2/ and £2 I/. Time, 1.16 3-5.

Brooksted Handicap Trot, one mile —Linda, 1; Gertie, 2; Nafferton, 3. Won by n couple of lengths. Time, 2.30. Dividends, £2 16/ and £1 8/.

Waitaki Handicap, five furlongs— Fighting Mac, 1; Whirlwind. 2; Gold Spur, 3. Also started: Hypnotist, Lady Lilian, Sharp Shell and Grand Shot. Won by a short neck. Time, 1.2 2-5. Dividends, £13 IS/ and £6 10/.
