The Auckland Fire Underwriters' Association notifies that it will allow 11I lurrainations during the. visit of Uwir • Royal Highnesses the Duke and Duchess of Cornwall and York, subject to the following regulations:— i All lights other than electric must be lat least 9 inches clear of any canvas, i wood, or other Inflammable materials, j at front, back, and sides; special care being taken to properly protect such materials above the lights, and to make provision for plentiful ventilation for the escape of heated air. Electric Lights must not be in contact with woodwork or other inflammable materials. All Candles must be fixed in properly secured metal sockets. The use of gas, other than ordinary coal gas, is not permitted. The special interior illumination of shop windows, except by electric light is not permitted. The erection of transparencies or other illuminations, in front of wooden walls is not permitted. Householders are reminded of the .danger of leaving lights unattended during' illuminations.
