MORTALITY AMONGST KANAKAS.

In the Senate Mr Glassey (Queens, land) said there was nothing in the cry that white labour could not engage in sugar cultivation. During the last ten years the mortality amongst Kanakas in Queensland was alarming, viz., over forty-two per thousand.
