A NEW TYSER STEAMER.
Another addltio nlias been made to the fleet of the Tyser line of steamers. Messrs Charles Connell and Co. recently launched at Whiteinch, on the Clyde, a steel screw steamer for Mr T. B. Royden, of Liverpool. IThe dimensions are:—Length between perpendiculars, 450 ft; breadth (moulded), 54ft lOin; depth (moulded), 33ft lOln; carrying about 10,300 tons. She has been built to Lloyd's highest class, with cellular double bottom the whole length of the vessel, having both peaks fitted as tanks for water ballast. A number of the holds are being Insulated and fitted with refrigerating machinery for the meat trade. The onglnen are of the triple expansion type, with large single-ended boilers jfltted with forced draught, and are being constructed by Messrs David Rowan and Co., Glasgow. I'he hull has been built under the Huperln-
tendence of Captain Gardiner, and the engines of Messrs G. S. Goodwin and Co., consulting engineers, Liverpool. The vcv.ael was named Indralema. She Is timed to leave New York on June 30, for Melbourne, Sydney, and New Zealand ports.
