TENDER FOR LUNCHEONS.
INVITATIONS TO THE RECEPTION PLATFORM.
The manager of the Strand Cafe has received a telegram from Mr T. E. Donne, the Government Tourist Agent. to the effect that the company's tender for luncheons on the Royal train has been accepted.
The special committee appointed to draw the list of invitations to the city portion of the reception platform, submitted a list of 305 persons to the Executive Committee yesterday afternoon. There were only seats on the platform for 350 people, but it was explained that some of the 305 had been included amongst those invited to the Government portion of the platform. Th« Executive approved of the Committee's selection.
