Two Boers, who surrendered at Erinelo, were allowed out. to fetch other surrenderee. They brought to Middelburg 14 Boers, 12,500 cattle, 12,000 sheep and 30 horses. They pretended to break through the British lines and thus outwitted Op-
permann's commando
