The barque Empreza. from Gisborne. has arrived at the Thames and will load timber at Kopu for Newcastle.

The barque Empveza, now loading timber Bt Kopu for Newcastle; is expected to have quick despatch. Her cargo promises to be a large one.

The barque Carte Blanche commenced tbe discharge of her cargo of guano at No. 2 jQuay-street Jetty this morning. On completion of her discharge the vessel will sail for Maiden Island.

The American barque Chas. G. Rice completed loading kauri gum this morning. She Will drop out into the stream this afternoon, and sails to-morrow for New York, via the Horn, should the wind prove favourable.

The s s Cornwall, which took the Sixth Contingent from Auckland to South Africa, has been chartered by the Imperial Government to carry 750 horses from New Zealand to Cape Colony, and will call at Auckland.
