OPENING OF TTT7-] SEASON TO-MORROW.

The la crosse season, under the auspices of the New Zealand La Crosse Association, will be formally opened to-morrow afternoon at the Domain cricket ground, when a tournament amongst the affiliated clubs will be played. A hearty invitation has been accorded to well-wishers of thn frame, and it is anticipated a large crowd will be present. Afternoon tea will be provided by lady friends on the pavilion. In the first round of the tourn;iment Ponsonby ±neet Suburbs, Grafton meet Parnell and North Shore meet Grey Lynn. PJaeh match will occupy fifteen minutes. Grafton. North Shore nnd Ponsonby are expected to fig-lit out the finish, -which will be very interesting1. The following- players will represent their" respective clubs: Ponsonby—T?ohinson, Nolan, W. Mason, E. Mason. H. White, J. Peacock, Latta, Davis, Anderson, McCoy, Short, Lundon, Cookc and E. Noton (field captain).
