SUDDEN DEATH.

A man named John Callaghan, of TTirinaka 70 years of age, died vevy fuEly on board the s.s. Wellington tart right. He was the original prospector of the Kiripaka Coal Company, at Ngunguru, and was also a shareholder in the Hikurangi Coal Company, while he was one of the original holders of the Great Barrier Coal mine. Lately ne has been living at Kiripaka, and came to town three weeks ago to endeavour to float the Phoenix Coal Company, Kiripaka. He was a widower, and leaves one son, a baker, at Kiripaka, Deceased was in company w: S C Brown yesterday afternoon, and when he left that gentleman at five o'clock was apparently in good health.
