WELLINGTON, Saturday * At the Wesley an Conference /tl^is morning was devoted to meetings of committees, when a majority oi; the laymen and ministers were engaged in" dealing with preparatory wOrk -tjiafc1 will facilitate the proceedings, of the conference next week. The conference! met in representative session at 2 p.m.y and began with devotional exercise* and address by the Eev. R. Harding. Congratulation's and cordial greetings to the president and members of u«>ie> conference were received by cable from the presidents of the Victorian, New South Wales. Queensland* an# Soutb Australian Wesleyan cpnfCTenees now-sitting in their reftpectivei colonies; and the Iter. W. J. Williams was appointed minisierial repfesenta^ tive and* Win. Shepherd . la3i representative to the Ecumenical Conference, to be held in London Tiexti September.
