AKARANA RIFLE CLUB.

The fourth series of matches for the champion medals presented by Mr Thorne, the President, and the champion shield, presented by Mr, F. Kearsley, took place on Saturday afternoon at the Akarana Rifle Club's range. Mr Tobin won the "A" class competition with the excellent score of 92 points, Mr J. D. Webster finishing second with the total of go. The "B" class competition ■was won by Mr A. G. Maughan with 82 points, Mr E. Pollard being runner-up with a total 6f 80. The following are the totals (three ranges, 300, 600 and 700, seven shots at each range): — "A" Class: Mr Tobin 82, Mr J. D. Webster 90, Mr Skinner 87, Mr H. Doughty 86, Mr Mclntosh 85, Mr R. G. Cox 84, Mr D. Hay 82, Mr A. Henderson 81, Mr A. Penzholtz 80, Mr T. Kerr 80, Mr E. Buchanan 79, Mr M. Atkinson 78, Mr J. Carlson 77, Mr W. Shepherd 73, Mr Dobbs 70.
