AMATEUR ATHLETIC CARNIVAL
For the autumn meeting of the Auckland Amateur Athletic and Cycle Club, which takes place on the Domain Cricket Ground on Saturday next, March 9th, the; Club has provided a very varied and at-1 tractive programme. Only one of those entered for the different events failed to accept on Saturday nlgiit, and as the Ban- ( dlcapper has concealed the probable winner very successfully the races promise to be unusually interesting- this meeting. The principal feature of the carnival is the. One Mile Club Bicycle Championship, for ! which six have entered, and as the winner j of this will probably be sent to represent the Club in the forthcoming League i Championships at ChrSstchurch the public; may look forward to a keen contesf and aj close finish. | With its usual consideration for Its patrons, the Club is providing afternoon , tea for ladies, and during- the afternoon Impey's band will play.
