YOUTHFUL PATRIOTISM.
There is a small boy whose father is a Frenchman, but who, himself, was born in England, and has lived there all his life. Consequently he considers himself to be an Englishman. He has recently gone to school, and has been taking his first lessons in English history. The other night lie looked up from his book, musingly, and ssiid to his father—
"Papa, we licked you awfully at the bat tie of Waterloo, didn't we?"
