Wind: Gain from between south-east, south and south-west on the East Coast between Napier and East Cape; strong- to moderate south-west to south and southeast winds elsewhere.
Barometer: Rise everywhere.
Sea: Heavy on coast between Castle Point and East Cape; considerable on all Western Coast; moderate elsewhere.
Tides: High between Castle Point, Napier, and East Cape; good southward of Castle Point; moderate oh all Western Coast.
Synopsis of the last 24 hours: Very slowly increasing pressure everywhere, with strong winds from southward generally. Rain has fallen southward of Napier and New Plymouth. ■Low pressure will pass east of the meridian of South Cape on the sth inst.
