THE CLOSURE APPLIED,
A BYE-ELECTION
LONDON, February 27.
The closure having been applied, the debate on the Address-in-Reply was closed, which was agreed to by a majority of 217.
A bye-election in Ihe St. Retford division of Lancashire resulted in Mr C. Cripps (Unionist) being elected by a majority of 1297, replacing Sir J. Mac-lure (Conservative), deceased.
