THE NEW STAR.
LONDON, February 27
Professor Ralph Copeland, Astronomer Royal of Scotland, announces that the Nova Persei, the new star in the constellation of Perseus, is the brightest star north of the equator, and has enormously increased in brightness since its discovery.
