A MERITED SENTENCE.

HAMILTON, this day.
At the Te Awamutu Magistrate's Court yesterday a foreigner named Shambo, found guilty of four charges of sending letters containing indecent remarks and drawings to four ladies ia the Kihikihi district, was sentenced to two yews hard labour. The Bench remarked that this was the worst case that had ever come under his notice.
