THE INDIAN TROOPS.

NELSON: Tuesday.
The steamer Dalhousie was berthed • at the Railway Wharf a little before . 3 o'clock this afternoon, when ColonelPeyton and the Indian troops disembarked. Horses were, provided, aiid all the volunteers of the locality w__-,; present. The procession marched to Cathedral Hill, where the school children were grouped, and thence to the, Botanical Gardens, where, fruit andrefreshments were provided for the visitors. The Mayor (Mr J. HarVeJr) ~ briefly welcomed the Indians, and th-i.
