CROWN LANDS BOARD.
A meeting of the Crown Lands Board was held yesterday. Mr D. Lundon presided, and Major Harris and J. Renshaw were also present. Mr W. C. Kensington attended in' the absence of the Commissioner.
• Lands Disposed Of. —A return showed that 60,074 acres had been disposed of to 154 selectors, from December 21 last to February 33.
Timber Flotage.—The renewal of 29 timber flotage licenses to the Kauri Timber Company for one year was granted, on the application of Messrs Dufaur and McCormick.
Mahoenui.—A letter w-as received from the Surveyor-General regarding the formation of the Mahoenui special settlement, stating that a deposit of 1/3 per acre for survey had been made, and that the price of the sections could not be fixed until the, completion of the survey. The matter of granting a special settlement at Mohoenui was deferred until next meeting. Cambridge.—The Agricultural Department was granted leave to occupy sections 633 to 650, Cambridge East, ufttil required lor Government purposes.
Sunday Island.—Bessie Dyke applied for a lease of the south-east portion of Sunday Island, and Meyer Island. Eesolved that the Minister be recommended to open sections 4 and 6, Sunday Island, 2349 acres, at 3d per acre, and that the "occupation of Meyer Island be granted at 20/ per annum.
