Wind: Strong from between south-east, south and south-west at all places northward of Thames and Manukau; strong wind lo gale from between south-east and north-east, thence southward to Napier and New Plymouth; gale from between north-east, north and west at other places after from ten to twenty hours. Barometer: Pall everywhere.

Seo.: Heavy on eastern coast north of Kaikoura, and on the western coast south of Cape Egmont; moderate thence northward.

Tides: High on eastern coast north of Kaikoura; good thence southward on all western coast.

Rain may be expected generally, and will be heavy at places between Thames, Taupo, Napier and East Cape.

Warning signals for northerly gales are exhibited at Capes Campbell, Farewell Spit, and Foulwlnd.
