The Mayor, Councillors, and Citizens of the City of Auckland, in pursuance of the provisions of the above Act, hereby gives notice that it proposes to engage In the following undertaking, to wit;—To accept and take a lease from the Auckland Harbour Board of about sixteen and a-half acres of the reclaimed land in Freeman's Bay for fifty years at a rent not exceeding five hundred pounds a year, to fence and lay the same down In grass, and use the same for the purpose of a Public Recreation Ground, and not sub-let the same on lease, and to enable it so to do to borrow a sum of eight thousand pounds upon the security of the revenues of the City of Auckland, subject to the, existing loans secured thereon, and to be Tepaid within twenty-one years from the date it is borrowed.
