TIMBER MILL BURNED.

WELLINGTON, this day
Stewart and Co.'s timber mill and machinery in Courtenay Place were destroyed by fire last night. The timber stacks were saved. The mill is insured for £4000.
The insurances on Stewart's mill and contents were: —£2,200 in the South British (partly reinsured), £1,300 in the Commercial Union, and £500 in the Phoenix.
