Wind: Moderate to strong from between south-east and north-east at all places northward of Napier and New Plymouth; strong from between north-east and north-west elsewhere; Increasing to a gale after from ten to twenty hours. Barometer: Rise at all places north of Napier and New Plymouth; fall at other places. Sea: Increasing- all Western Coast and between Castle Point and Kaikoura. Warning signals for northerly gales are* exhibited at Cape Campbell, Farewell Spit and Foulwind.
