AQUATICS.

The Parnell Sailing Club sailed off its second series of races on Saturday afternoon. Mr F. W. Coombes acted as starter and judge, Messrs I/. Lewis (secretary) and W. Jagger (Commodore) carrying out the general arrangements. The yacht Viking -was used as flagship. The following are the results of the races:— Twenty-six footers.—Course: From mark-boat off Judge's Bay, thence round mark off Hobson Bay, thence round chequered (second buoy in Rangitoto Channel), thence round mark off Queenstreet Wharf, finishing south side of markboat In Judge's Bay; twice round.— Kotiro (■!* m) and Waitangi (Gm) were the only starters. Waitangi got away best, but at Calliope Dock was two minutes behind, and at the conclusion of the first round was 4m 3Ss behind. On the second round Kotiro drew further ahead, and won easily by nearly 10 minutes. Twenty-two footers.—Course: From mark-boat off Judge's Bay, round buoy off Hobson Bay, round Sandspit buoy, round buoy off Calliope Dock, round buoy off Queen-street Wharf, to starting point; twice round.—The starters -were, Myra (scr.), Waimoa (3m), Kotare (17m), Mcrcla (18m), and Merlin (23m). A good start was effected, Myra taking the lead from Waimoa and Kotare. On the first round Myra had a lead of nearly two minutes from Waimoa. Kotare being three minutes behind. Myra still maintained her load on the second round, the finishing times being —Myra, 4h 45m 20s; Waimoa, 4h 46m' 335; Kotare, 4h 56m 3Gs; Merlin, r,h 4m 30s; Mercla, 5h 10m. On time allowance, Kotare won, Merlin being second and Waimoa third. Patikls.—Course: Same as 22-footers.— Eka (2m), Eita (2m), Kangaroo (2|m), and Zoe (3Jm) were the starters, but at the start Eka was put out of the race by fouling on the line with Kangaroo, three of the former's planks being smashed. After rounding the Queen-street buoy Kangaroo took the lead. At the end of the first round the boats were almost together, and the race concluded —Rita, Bh 56m Is; Kangaroo,' 5h 56m 12s; Zoe, 5h 57m 30s. On time allowance, Kangaroo takes first place by 18s, with Zoe second. Aorere was the only boat out of the four entrants to start for the Open Handicap, and she sailed the course alone. ROWING RACES. Owing to the rough water the Auckland and St. George's Rowing Clubs postponed their races until next Saturday. The West End Club will row off its President's Fours on Saturday next. MANUKAU YACHT CLUB. I The Mannkau Yacht Club held its fifth race of the season on Saturday, the course being to Cape Horn and back, twice round. Twenty boats entered, and a g-ood race .resulted in a win for Mr F. Fellows' Esma (40m), H. Constance's Myrtle (30m) being second, and C. H. Green's Fedora (26m) third.
