The mart of Brunette, jeweller, though escaping fire and water, lost considerably, the shop being broken open, and things carried off, some to a place of safety, and others in the pockets of undesirables. Duxfield's, Robinson's, Fortune's, Gungall's, Davis'. Paterson's, Milner's and 'Parry's, and Hannah & Co.'s stock were got out, and the loss in those quarters will not be heavy.
