FASHION NOTES.

Persian trimmings of all sorts are being used very much to trim bodices and skirts. The "Aubyn" blouse is an attractive model of a brown taffeta blouse, exquisitely garnished with a band of Persian embroidery. The

blouse is made over a fitted lining, plain iv the back and full in the front The neck opens over a chemisette of cream gauze. The wide, square collar is trimmed with the Persian trimming.

There is a charming colour scheme in the Belgrave bodice. Violet-col-om-ed cashmere forms the body of the waist, which is plain in the back and

fulled a little in front. Over this U worn a short bolero of cream lace appliqiNMl oil the palest mauve silk. A bow of the silk catches the bolero together in front. The lapels and collar of the bolero are of deep violet velvet and the high crush collar is of the mauve silk.

Over a petticoat and fichu of pure white Indian muslin, encrusted in lace and medallions of pale blue Pompadour silk comes a coat with very long1 tails of black or grey satin. The corselet belt which just holds down the tabs of the coat in front is made of blue silk, and the hat that accompanies this truly picturesque toilette

is a Louis XVI. model made of black satin with the simple drapery of a long white ostrich plume. Of course, there is a fichu that hides the hard line between the coat and bodice, and to make a costume look completely picturesque. Note the tender union of two lovely colours, blue and grey, an uncommon and very Parisian one.

Two charming- cycling1 suits are included on this page. One of them has a sacque coat, and the other a little silk jacket faced with linen, intended to be worn with a serge skirt.
