Wind.—Gale from between oast south, and south-west on the East Coast, southward of East Cape and between Cape bgmont and Cape Campbell; gale from between southwest and northwest, northward or East Cape. Barometer. —Rise everywhere. g ea .—Very heavy on East Coast between Kaikouva and East Cape: heavy on western coast:' moderate elsewhere. v.aes.—Very high on East Coast between Cape Campbell and East Cape ; high thence southward on western coast ot North Island; good all other parts. Rain will probably be heavy on the Last Ccast eastward of Thames, Taupo, Wanganui, Nelson, and Lyttelton. .Earning signals for westerly gales are exhibited at Capo Maria Van Dieman and Tiritiri, a*so at Capes Farewell and Foulwind ; and for an easterly gale at Cape Campbell.
