At a meeting to-day of lhe Borough Council the Councillor!*, up-standing, resolved that this Council learns with deep re;-ret of the death of our beloved Sovereign. Ker Most Gracious Majesty Queen Victoria, and hereby places on record its high appreciation of her illustrious reign as a constitutional ruler, and its deep sense of the irreparable loss sustained by her millions of subjects. Tbe Council (hen adjourned ns a mark of respect.
The public tea and concert arranged hy the ladies, to lie -riven in tbe Drill-she:! on Friday evening next to tbe officers and men ol' tlie Sixth Contingent, is now off, owing to the death of the Queen.
