Queen Victoria Dead.
i At twelve noon to-day we received the following telegram from the Acting-Premier at Dunedin:— C-'T regret to announce that die Queen died last night.—(Signed) J. G, Ward, Acting-Premier." The Government received a cable from the Ageni-General as follows: "■'London, January 22, T.-to p.m.:— I regret to announce the Queen'.^ death." Hie Premier, the Right Hon. "R. J. Seddon, received the following! from the Agent-Gen oral:— j «I regret to inform you that the Queen is dead. London. 7.45 p.m.. January 22." j
