WAIHI EXTENDED.
A Tangye Pump has been installed at the Wtiihi Extended shaft; but the couplings are not yet complete. The pump will shortly be working. Water in the meantime, is being kept down with a bucket. It is not troublesome, and will soon diminish when the pump starts. The manager reports that the country at the bottom of the shaft is hard and good quartz-bearing country, and he has every hope of intersecting the lode.
