KINEMATOGRAPH ENTERTAINMENT.

The patriotic entertainment given by Messrs Cooper and Macdermott in honour., of the Sixth Contingent drew a «ggg< attendance at the Opera Houseson Batttr day night. His Worship the Mayor (Mr D. Goldie) was present, and the-, Auckland Division of the Contingent, under Captain Reid and Sergeants Major Carpenter, Cheator and Crespin occupied seats in the dress circle. The-kinemaio-, graph pictures were chiefly of a warlike character, depicting scenes in South Africa, and one and ail, particularly those dealing with the New Zealanders, we're very well received. A number ot humorous pictures were interspersed, ana portraits of well-known generals found _& place in the collection of.views exhibited.,. The programme was also pleasantly varied with selections on the colosso■phone. Mrs Robin Hay' presided' at the piano.
