FOUND DROWNED.
The body of a man, name uik; known, was found floating in the harbour this morning. Three boys named It. Batten, J. Keir and X Wyatt, while playing on the booms near the Wynyard Pier, at 9.45 a.m./ saw the body floating among the' logs, and at once notified ConstableHarvey. Sergeant Gordon, accompanied by Constables Harvey and Skinner, went to the scene, and removed the body to the Morgue, where it now awaits identification. TJir body had evidently been in the water tor about a week. It is that of a man about 45 years of age, of slight build, with fair hair, whiskers and' moustache. One front tooth is miss* ing from the lower jaw. The deceased was dressed in a grey check twee/ coat, brown trousers, new lace-un blucher boots, and grey flannel shirt
