' An almost incredible story comes from TJlle France, relating how a little Klrl eig ht years old has just been guilty o Ordering an infant, aged two years and . half in order to obtain food. The tragedy took place at Armontierc,, where-M Louis Dilly, father of four children lived in the direst poverty. On December 3rd, as the children were playing in the street, a tiny girl strolled along "with a cake in her hand. Valentine, unable to get the cake, coaxed the girl into her father's house, and, shutting her in a box, ran for a knife With this she was unable to fatally stab'the girl, so she procured a shoemaker's awl and finished the deed with that. _______—«,——
