ADDITIONAL APPOINTMENTS.

WELLINGTON, this day

Lieut.-Colonel Banks, who is to command the Sixth Contingent, arrived in camp this morning. Additional appointments are Lieutenant Markham, .of the Federal Cqntingent, to be captain of the Auckland company. Captain R. C. Smith, Rangiora, Lieut. A. Rose, Wellington, Lieut. R. M. Williamson and Lieut. M. Jones are to hold commissions, but the companies are n.ot yet assigned. It is understood that Lieut.-Colonel Watt, of Wanganui, is to receive the command of a company. A camp report was current that Captain Fulton, who is on sick leave, and was appointed to the Dunedin company, has been prohibited by his medical adviser from going back to South Africa.
