LONDON, January 18
Pretoria is now full of troops.
Sir Alfred Milner's departure for Pretoria has been indefinitely postponed. The British prisoners held at Helvetia and Belfast, on the Delagoa line, have been released.
LONDON, January 17
Two of the largest commandos are Btationed at Roosenekal, in the northeast of the Transvaal and Western 31agaliesburg. Lord Kitchener reports that there are 30UO Boers at Carolina. It is expected that .Botha is organising a raid on Natal. A commando has appeared in Little Karnaqualand, north of Natal. Colonel Colville/s column was engaged at Vantondei'.shoc. The Boers were driven oil' with heavy loss. Three hundred liners looted Aberdeen, but retreated on the advance of a hundred British.
