Defended Case.—VT. 11. Grove v. A. Pearson. Mr J. It. Reed for defendant.—The claim was £11 10/ for 17 crates of bananas. — The defendant paid £0 8/ into Court— The dispute arose as to the price per crate, plaintiff stating it was 12/6 and defendant alleging he arranged with plaintiff's son to purchase at 8/ per crate.—His Worship gave judgment for plaintiff, with costs £1.
George W. Wilcox v. Alexander Schultze, claim 15/ for wages. Mr McVeagh appeared for defendant. Judgment was given for defendant on the ground that the plaintiff broke the agreement by leaving before the week had elapsed.
