AQUATICS.
PONSONBY CRUISING CLUB
A general meeting of the above club was held in the Club Hotel last evening for the purpose of appointing committees as follows:— Sailing Committee, Messrs Riley, Message, Brown, Perm and 'Harkins; Handicapping Committee, Messrs R. Masefield, F. Stonlx, and W- Perm. Members appointed to the General Committee were Messrs Roy, Burke, Baine, and Edwards. Mr O. N. Riley, on account of leaving shortly for Sydney, resigned his position as Rear-Commodore, and Mr E. Message was honoured with the office. During the evening Mr S. W. Buck was made a life member of the club, the Commodore speaking of his good qualities and the manner in which he had supported the club. Several new members were enrolled, giving a membership of about 250.
