NEW YEAR HOLIDAYS.

There are numerous excursions announced for to-morrow (New Year's Day), and for.the following day. The Northern S.S. Co. will run the following- excursions ■ to - morrow:— S.s. WaiotSJhi to Kawaur.lsland; p.s.■ Waka* tere and p.s. Terranora to Cowes Bay* Waiheke ,for the Wailieke annual regatta; s.s. Wellington to _Waiwera;' ! and Clansman to Maliurangi Heads. On Wednesday' (January 2) the Wakatere 'will run down to Cowes Bay, Waiheke, the Muritai to Waiwera, the Clansman to Ksuwau. Island, and the Wellington to Mahurangi Heads. , '..

To-morrow the . s.s .Vivid will run : an excursion up to Riverhead. The s.s. Kotiti will run down to AwaawJirpa Bay, Waiheke, thence to tlie-fish-ing grounds. The Auckland Eacing Pigeon Club anticipate, as advertised "in anothei part of this paper, liberating some 30(1 homing pigeons in the Domain on_Jan. ~ Ist, 1901. The club, the youngest in Auckland, has made rapid" progress since its advent, there being some 35 members at pre« sent.
