EOTOEUA, this day.

A visitor nttmed John Darroch, hai> ing from Waipu, at seven this morning, Whilst bathing in the lobster baths, walked into a dangerous hole and was drowned, being unable to swim. Mr Daniel Salmon came on the scene ten minutes after and plucldly dived several times after the body, but failed. Some Maoris eventually were successful.
