AMUSEMENTS.

DIX'S GAIETY COMPANY^

A change of programme was presented at the City Hall on Saturday evening- to a crowded house. The new first part "Venetian Revels" was beautifully staged, and was much admired. The members of the company were all enthusiastically received and encores were the order of the evening. Miss Ida Clarkson received a double recall, and the Linwood Sisters were encored for their new song and dance, "A Little Bit of Red." Little Clanc'le Sulilvan was very successful in his two items "The Plumber" and

"What Do You Think of the Irish Now." Mr Chas. Hampton achieved his usual success in his descriptive songs, and Messrs Jack Steele and J. Cowan were encored for their comic items. Mr J. C. Bain as usual wan received with great applause, and was as amusing as ever. A farcical comedy by Mr Frank M. Clark, entitled "Muldoon's Picnic," was produced as a second part, and proved most amusing". The same programme will be repeated this evening, ami on Friday next a benefit will be tendered to Mr Bain, who is leaving shortly for America.
