The return match between the School of Mines and Opitonui Clubs was played yesterday at Opitonui, the School team being the winners by 24 runs. The scores were: School of Mines, first innings, 52 (Smales 21); second innings, C 7 (Smales 14, Baskiville 13, Elley 13): total 119. Opitonui, Ist innings, 30; 2nd innings, 5G (Dawson 11: total, 95. Campbell and Smales were the most successful bowlers for the winners, and Hardman and Foster for Opitonui. After the match the visitors were entertained by the home team to a smoke concert.
