SUNDAY SCHOOLS DEMONSTRATION.
Last evening the annual demonstration of the Presbyterian Sunday schools was held in St. James' Hall, Wellington-street. The haU was crowded to the doors. The Key. R. Ferguson presided. An excellent entertainment was given. St. James Church choir sang an openang chorus, and the Knox Church choir also contributed a chorus. The Devonport Sunday school girls gave an exhibition of Indian, club-swinging, and the boys went through dumb-bell exercises. The Onehunga Sunday school children gave an excellent exhibition of flag-signalling. A good musical programme was contributed to by Mrs Oatts Mrs Bradstreet, Miss Wood, and others; Miss Mary Johns (St. Peter's) -■aye a recitation, and Miss Muriel Barr a Scripture reading. Addresses were given by the chairman, the Revs. G. Monro, D. J. Steele and others. The prizes won by the children attending the various Sunday-schools were presented.
