An inquest was held at Mangataroto ton the 2nd inst. to enquire into the death of a farmer named George Griffin, aged 67.- Deceased . went to ted one evening apparently in good health, and on waking up next morn« ing was seized with a sudden sickness and died shortly afterwards. The evidence showed that death was due to heart disease,-and-a verdict to. that effect was returned.
