Attention is drown to .the performance to be given at the City Hall tomorrow evening as a .benefit to the Ladies' Benevolent 'Society by Mr P. E. Dix. The Gaiety Company will puton a capital variety programme, and in view of the deserving object ot the performance, it is to be hoped that there will be a bumper house.
The Devonport Coastguard Artillery Volunteers will go into cm® on Fridiay next at 8 p.m., under Captain Napier and Lieutenants Gardner and Tjees. The encampment will be at Port Takapuna, wh.'c'h L the fort entrusted to the Ounpany for manning-. Sixteen days will tie occupied in big grim drill ancl shot and sliell practice. About eighty men. of all ranks are expected to march in to camp.
