Edgerly, W. C. Rose. F. Bennett. park Road.—G. F. Borgotts wrote that he was prepared to offer Mrs Paul £2 for allowing him the right of draining thfdugh her right-of-way into the Glasgoff Terrace sewer. He would also repair t b g boundary fence.—The Council gave permission that the work be done, under the supervision of: the Council's Foreman o f Works. Water Meter. —Mr Carpenter was granted permission to put a water meter oh hi« premises. vFire Brigade.—The Fire Brigade were granted £1 4/ for attending the fire at jjr Leonard Marshall's premises in Park ftoad East. It was also agreed to attach geW ropes to the fire-bells in the borough. Electric Tramways.—A communication ffa s read from Mr W. Coleman asking for an authorising order and an application to the Governor for such order on behalf of the Auckland Electric Tramway's ■ Company. He asked a committee of the Council be appointed to execute the documents.—The Mayor and Councillord Smerdon and Lumpkin were apIJOlfited. Water Consumption.—The Town Clerk gald the water consumption had been ye ry heavy during the last quarter.—The itiyor said a number of new buildings had been erected, and there had also jjgan a greater consumption at Hancock's brewery.—The turncock said there was no leakage anywhere.
