It was also agreed to attach geW ropes to the fire-bells in the borough. Electric Tramways.—A communication ffa s read from Mr W. Coleman asking for an authorising order and an application to the Governor for such order on behalf of the Auckland Electric Tramway's ■ Company. He asked a committee of the Council be appointed to execute the documents.—The Mayor and Councillord Smerdon and Lumpkin were apIJOlfited.
