As some of those who passed their first two examinations In connection With tho Hamilton branch of the St. John Ambulance Society arc. anxious to complete the course. Dr. Brewis has kindly dffered to meet them and also to conduct the lectures in first aid if any persons are anxious to join the class.
The annual examination of nurses at the Waikato Hospital was conducted on Friday by Drs. BroWis and Roberts. Three nursed—Misses Kerr, Brunsklll and Cogswell-'presented themselves, and all pabsed in a creditable manner.
At ,the Police Court this morning: a man named Seelly,. who hails from tho King Country, was brought .up before Messrs Bond and Jones, "Justices, charged with using indfceent language ahd with refusing to leave licensed premises, the Royal Hotel, when called upon to do so. Accused pleaded guilty. On the first charge lie was ordered to come up for sentence when called. upon, while for the second
offence he was fined £2, with 13/ costs. A week was allowed in which to pay the .In-
