It was recently stated that dilator* action by the Australian Government, in settling the New Guinea Land.Syndicate's claims, as recommended by tht Agents-General, has created an unfa« vourable impression of Australia's 'in* tegrity 'in London. Mr Lyric says he is strongly opposed to using the' New Guinea subsidy 'in paying the syndicate,' and will not do so without express Parliamentary sanction.
