Bolag (Austrian), who escaped from the Mararoa, at Auckland, was brought up and charg-ed with attempting to evade the Immigration Restruction Act. He was registered under the name of Thomas Bobson. He could not even write his own name, and possessed only 4/6. It appeared, however, he'had taken the precaution to secure a return ticket. The case .was dismissed on the Union Oompany undertaking to see. the man was returned to Sydney. The manager of the Company asked for a police guard I at Lyttelton, and was told the Department would look after it.
