CONCERT AT DEVONPORT.

The pupils of St. Leo's Academy, Devonnort (conducted by the Sisters of Mercy) .assisted by their friends, gave a'most successful entertainment on Thursday evening .last in the. Devonport Hall. There was a very large attendance. The following excellent programme was given: — Orchestra (under Mr P. V. Hiscocks), Blue Danube Waives (Strauss); vocal waltz (Rose Queen), MisS May Wynyard; violin solo, Miss Ronum; vocal duet (nocttffne), Misses Donovan and Wynyard; pianoforte duet, "Danse Espaguole," Misses Futjames, Eraser (2), " Cog'an, Wynyard, and Waterman; solo and chorus, "Castonet and Gay Guitar," Misses Wynvard and Knight; song, "The King's Own," Miss Aland Donovan; pianoforte duet, "Et Elysee," Misses Fraser, Boylan, Wynyard, McLean, and Munro; chorus, "Soldiers of the Queen." In this the boy pupils were dressed in picturesque uniform. Dance. Miss Knight's pupils; solo, "The Wood Nymph's Call," Miss May Wynyard; pianoforte duet, "Mazeppa," ' Misses . Wynyard, Thomas, Cogan (2); and Fraser (2); song, Miss Madoline Knight. Mr Alf. Hartley and Miss May Corley acted as accompanists. The entertainment was concluded with an excellent performance of the drama "Beauty and the Beast." r .
